MINDSET COACH & Mindfulness Meditation Facilitator
Veronica (Vicki) Taylor studied to be a Life Coach with CTI The Coaches Training Institute (San Rafael, CA) in 2008. Prior to that she lived and/or worked in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Singapore, Paris and Maastricht (The Netherlands).
Her former business background was in Marketing, Sales and Promotions working for companies such as DeBeers Diamonds and several Canadian Publications. She lived abroad in her mid-30's and early 40's and then returned to Canada.
LIVING WITH ADHD
After returning to Canada, Vicki entered a new stage of her life. She learned first hand about ADHD, Anxiety and Depression and the challenges that came with all three.
A single mother working part-time she began what was to be an arduous but necessary journey. Along the way she studied and read everything she could find on the subject of ADHD and other mental health issues to better understand her own brain and why it was somehow different from other people's.
CHANGE IS CONSTANT
New hope arrived in 2010 with the arrival of Norman Doidge's groundbreaking book "The Brain That Changes Itself". The world came to understand that the brain could indeed change thanks to something called “Neuroplasticity.” The revolutionary idea that we could somehow have an impact on our own brains, would set the trajectory for Vicki's own path forward.
Familiar with general guided meditation for many years, she was introduced to "Mindfulness" Meditation in 2010.
She began to extend her Studies taking Programs, Workshops and Courses on a myriad of subjects including MBSR-Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, CBT-Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Fundamentals of ADHD Coaching Level thru ADD Coach Academy, EFT-Emotional Freedom Technique as well as completing The Foundations in Applied Mindfulness Meditation (Level 1) through OISE at the University of Toronto.
FASCINATION WITH THE POWER OF OUR THOUGHTS
Another area in which she was deeply passionate these last 25 years, has been the study of the Mind-Brain-Body Connection and in particular how one's Thoughts and Beliefs have a dramatic and direct impact on one's life.
"BREAKING THE HABIT OF BEING YOURSELF"
In 2012, Dr. Joe Dispenza's book of the same name had a immense influence on Vicki.
Dispenza suggested "we are not doomed by ones genes or hardwired to be a certain way for the rest of ones life"
This was positive news shared 7 years earlier by Bruce Lipton PhD and author of The Biology of Belief.
All this would lead to Vicki's fascination and continued studies with the Mind and the Power of our Thoughts to this day.
